      DATA is a nonprofit membership organization established in 1986 representing public and private alcohol and drug treatment, behavioral health, prevention and student assistant programs. 
      DATA's Mission:
      Advocate for quality substance abuse treatment, prevention and educational services;
      Foster communication among substance abuse providers and within health/human service programs. DATA promotes training local, statewide and regional initiatives in the interest of providing the best quality services to clients based on collaboration between behavioral health organizations;
      Promote the welfare of clients of drug and alcohol treatment and prevention programs and the community at large;
      Train and provide technical assistance building workforce competence of substance abuse, community health, mental health and other human service providers;
      Lead prevention efforts throughout the state to educate the general public about substance abuse and other health and behavioral health risks;
      Disseminate information regarding available community resources, and 
      Reduce stigma associated with the disease of addiction.
