      Richard M. Bailey, M.Ed., LCDCS, ACRPS is Director of The Providence Center's Long Term Care program, a program specializing in the treatment of chronic relapsers. Mr. Bailey received his Masters degree in Counseling Psychology from Cambridge College in 1992. He is a Licensed Chemical Dependency Clinical Supervisor and Advanced Relapse Prevention Specialist, gaining certification from Terrence T. Gorski and The Cenaps Corporation, an internationally recognized school of Relapse Prevention Training. Serving on the Rhode Island Board for the Certification of Chemical Dependency Professionals as a CPM evaluator, Mr. Bailey tests and evaluates Chemical Dependency Professionals for advanced level certification and licensure.

      Thomas E. Broffman, PhD, LICSW, LCDP, LCDS, CEAP is an assistant professor in the BSW program at Eastern CT State University.  He has a BSW and a MSW from the University of Pittsburgh and a Ph.D. from Boston College, Graduate School of Social Work. His doctoral dissertation was Gender Differences in MH & SA Disorders as Predictors of Gambling Disorders.  He is a Chemical Dependency Consultant for the RI Dept. of Behavioral Health, Developmental Disabilities & Hospitals, at the Eleanor Slater Hospital in Cranston, RI. He is a regionally known trainer and consultant.  He has been a Motivational Interviewing trainer and practitioner for over 16 years. He worked as a trainer and consultant with a variety of human service agencies (medication assisted therapy, domestic violence, addiction treatment, child guidance, family service and TBI) to integrate MI into their programs and service delivery systems.  He was involved in a multi-year project integrating MI into 16 of the 44 adult residential substance abuse programs in Massachusetts. In 2006, he was awarded the Social Worker of the Year in Addictions by the RI Chapter of National Association of Social Workers.  He has been on the faculty of NE School of Addiction Studies since 1993.

      Jordan Braciszewski, Ph.D.  is a clinical psychologist, Jordan has been trained in a number of empirically-supported treatments, including Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Motivational Interviewing (MI), and cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT). He also has interests in the treatment and prevention of substance use disorders, interpersonal psychotherapy, and CBT for insomnia and chronic pain. Jordan has also been certified to offer trainings in MI, as well as code MI sessions for fidelity using the Motivational Interviewing Treatment Integrity system. Jordan’s research broadly focuses on underserved populations, program evaluation, and social policy change. He is particularly interested in the prevention of substance use and chronic homelessness, using both community-based efforts and clinically-informed interventions.

      Richard Froncillo, LCDS has worked in the substance abuse treatment field for 25 years and is Executive Director of Discovery House. He is a Certified Advanced Chemical Dependency Professional, Licensed Chemical Dependency Supervisor and a CPM evaluator. Mr. Froncillo has been involved in the certification process since 1977.

      J. Philip Kane joined the staff of Thundermist Health Center in July 2004. He currently serves as the Program Manager for the Title HIV Care Program. Philip has worked in the field of HIV prevention for over 20 years. His interest in HIV began in 1987 when he first volunteered at AIDS Project Rhode Island (the Project) as an AIDS Hotline volunteer and a Buddy. He was later hired by the Project as the Rhode Island AIDS Hotline Coordinator and was eventually promoted to Education Coordinator. After leaving the Project in 2000, he joined the staff of Planned Parenthood of Rhode Island where he coordinated marketing and communications. Philip is certified in HIV pre-test and post-test counseling. He also conducts HIV trainings for a number of community-based organizations, is a member of the Rhode Island Community Planning Group for HIV Prevention and has served as its Community Co-Chair for five years.

      Sharon Morello, BSN,RN, is a Providence Center Employee that is the Director of Charter Care Connect.  She oversees 71 Psychiatric inpatient beds at Our Lady of Fatima Hospital (OLF)  as well as the Partial Hospital program.  Her oversight includes the triage of behavioral health services in both OLF and RWMC Emergency Departments. Formerly the Chief of Treatment for the Dept. of Mental Health, Retardation and Hospital’s Div. of Substance Abuse for the State of Rhode Island, she has worked in the field of addiction medicine since 1987. Sharon’s clinical focus has been on the treatment of opiate dependent patients with extensive experience in the management of acute detoxification in a teaching hospital. Sharon is a CARF surveyor, participating in the CSAT accreditation study of Methadone programs.

      Frederic G. Reamer, Ph.D. is a professor in the graduate program of the School of Social Work, RI College, where he has been on faculty since 1983. Dr. Reamer is the author of many books and articles on professional ethics and lectures nationally and internationally. He chaired the task force that wrote the code of ethics of the National Association of Social Workers.

      SSG Stephanie Riotte, RN, NR-EMT entered Active Duty Army in July 1985 as a medical specialist. She served at Tripler Army Medical Center, HI, Walter Reed Army Medical Center, D.C., and Moncrief Army Hospital, S.C. and received an Honorable Discharge in April 1991. In March 1999, she re-enlistted to serve in the RI National Guard as a Combat Medic. In 2002, she earned her ADN as a Registered Nurse. In Feb 2003, she volunteered to deploy to Iraq, as the Senior Combat Medic for a Military Police Battalion serving 12 months in Baghdad and Fallujah. Since May of 2008,  SSG Riotte has been serving full time in the RI Natl. Guard as the Alcohol and Substance Abuse Prevention Treatment and Outreach Coordinator.

      Elisa Robley, CAGS, MA, LMHC, LCDP, RCS
      is co-owner of Wellness Within Counseling Center, LLC in Cranston, and provides private practice therapy for mental health and substance abuse.  She has 16 years of experience working with co-occurring diagnosis and has been certified in Dialectical Behavior Therapy since 2003 through Marsh Linehan’s, Behavioral Technology Transfer Group. She has been employed at various local mental health agencies, has worked with incarcerated population at the Rhode Island Department of Corrections, worked as a Clinical Director of a juvenile detention site and a paramilitary youth academy within the Massachusetts Department of Youth Services.

      Frank R. Sparadeo, Ph.D. is a clinical Neuropsychologist in private practice. He specializes in neuropsychological assessment, pain evaluation and management, pre-surgical psychological screening and post-trauma psychotherapy. Dr. Sparadeo previously served as the Neuropsychologist at RI Hospital where he developed the first outpatient cognitive rehabilitation program in RI and conducted research studies on the role of substance abuse in traumatic brain injury. He was the co-founder of the Brain Injury Association of RI as well as co-director of the Concussion Center at RI Hospital. Dr. Sparadeo also served as Chairman of the State Mental Health Plan committee and is presently the Chairman of the Governor’s Permanent Advisory Council on Traumatic Brain Injury. He continues to provide continuing education workshops for psychologists, counselors, social workers and other professionals nationwide.

      Brenda Westberry, MS is a retired Chief Adult Probation Officer for the State of Connecticut Judicial Branch. She has over 21 years experience in the field of Criminal Justice working with key community agencies, substance abuse treatment facilities and diverse criminal justice populations. She is also a professor in the Sociology Social Work and Applied Sciences Department at Eastern Connecticut State University as well as an adjunct professor at Mitchell College in the Criminal Justice Department. Brenda is a faculty member at the New England School of Addiction Studies.  She is the founder and President of Westberry Consulting which specializes in providing workshops, trainings and diverse course offerings delivered in customizable learning modules.
